Don Hosek - Recording

My home recording studio has made the leap into the 21st century with the purchase of a couple key pieces of equipment.

The core of the system is a TiBook 800 (anicetus) which runs DP3 for sequencing and recording.

My audio interface is a Metric Halo Mobile I/O (MIO) which is easily the best of the Firewire audio interfaces out there. I have the DSP version, although there's not currently any DSP support available yet. But then, there weren't any non-DSP models when I bought mine.

MIDI interfacing is handled by a MOTU MIDI Xpress XT (USB). I've not really done any sequencing at this time, so this is not terribly relevant at the moment.

My Mackie 1604VLZpro sees somewhat less use these days as the MIO is pretty capable for many applications. I do use it for live submixes where its four+two busses still come in handy.

I've been thinking about picking up Roxio Toast+Jam, but it's a low priority item at the moment.
