Following the format of the Chicago Tribune (two columns of smaller strips on the first page, followed by a single column of larger strips on the second page with a narrow column for single panels/crossword etc, I would fill the pages thusly. A pink background indicates a strip which is currently in the trib.

What, you’re not including these?
- Dilbert: Lost its edge long ago. Probably about the time that the strip started being based on “here’s something wacky that happened at work today” e-mails to Scott Adams that turned it into a white collar “Pluggers”.
- Peanuts: Great strip, but let’s face it, Charles Schultz is dead. Let’s let someone new have a spot. There’s plenty of collections of Peanuts strips should you so choose
- Shoe: See “Peanuts”
