Don Hosek - Flute

Long-term readers of this space will notice a change in look. Rather than having this page be a table of links to the flute journal entries. Those links are now in the navigation bar at the right. This page, instead, will serve as a bit of a summary of my flute status.

I started teaching myself to play the flute in the summer of '99 and I've managed to do a decent job of keeping up with it. I play a borrowed Armstrong 104 and lust after my ex-girlfriend's Prima Sankyo Artist. I've also got, on the top of the bookshelf, my dad's old Arnold flute, which is probably best suited to be made into a lamp, and a couple of Yamaha fifes which are actually rather difficult instruments to play despite the toy-like appearance.
